Conor McGregor doesn’t believe Khabib Nurmagomedov is in any position to disrespect Jose Aldo following the UFC legend’s shutout win over Pedro Munhoz at UFC 265 this past month.

Aldo has received universal praise for his performance, but Khabib wasn’t too impressed. The former UFC lightweight king shot down the idea that ‘Scarface’ is ‘peaking again’ as an athlete, claiming the latter has only looked good against middling to low-level competition.

McGregor, who beat Aldo via 13-second KO but lost to Khabib via submission, blasted the latter for his comments, imploring ‘the little fool of a thing’ to keep his comments to himself in the future.

“Another press conference. What’s he even doing?” McGregor said of Aldo during a recent fan Q&A on Instagram Live (h/t Jordan Ellis of Low Kick MMA). “More talking, is he? And then disrespecting (Jose) Aldo. The little fool of a thing. I’m sick of these little fools mouthing about people.”

McGregor is currently on the sidelines following a devastating leg injury suffered in the Dustin Poirier trilogy at UFC 264, which saw the Irishman break his leg following an awkward stand-up exchange at the end of the first round. McGregor lost the fight via first-round TKO (doctor’s stoppage) and is expected to return to the octagon sometime next year.

Khabib, on the other hand, is officially retired. The undefeated Dagestani hung up his gloves following a second-round submission win (rear-naked choke) over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254. Nurmagomedov retired with an unparalleled record of 29-0 to cement his legacy as one of, if not the, greatest mixed martial artists of all time.
