UFC fighter rankings: Ciryl Gane breaks into pound-for-pound list

UFC 265 was a very exciting card, full of great action and great finishes. Ciryl Gane dominated an outmatched Derrick Lewis to claim a piece of the heavyweight title, and this allowed him to enter the pound-for-pound rankings as well. Vicente Luque’s nasty submission win over Michael Chiesa has him up into elite contendership at 170. And a few other divisions saw some movement as well.

Here’s a look at the changes this week.

Men’s P4P – Gane enters the list at 14. Justin Gaethje drops one to 15. Aljamain Sterling is out.

Heavyweight – New interim champ means Gane occupies the 1a spot. Stipe Miocic and Lewis fall a spot each to two and three.

Light Heavyweight – No changes.

Middleweight – No changes.

Welterweight – Luque is up two big spots to two after choking out Chiesa. Wonderboy Thompson drops one to five. Jorge Masvidal is up one to six, with Chiesa sliding two to seven.

Lightweight – Rafael Fiziev enters at 14 following his close win. Arman Tsaruykan slips one to 15. Thiago Moises is out.

Featherweight – No changes.

Bantamweight – Marlon Moraes and Cody Garbrandt flip-flop the six and seven spots.

Flyweight – No changes.

Women’s P4P – Yan Xiaonan moves up into a tie for 13 with Lauren Murphy.

Women’s Bantamweight – No changes.

Women’s Flyweight – No changes.

Women’s Strawweight – Mackenzie Dern rises one spot into a tie for four with Xiaonan. Marina Rodriguez falls one to six. Tecia Torres is up one to nine after a big win over Angela Hill. Michelle Waterson slips a spot to ten. Hill falls two spots to 14, which allows Virna Jandiroba to move up one to 12 and Amanda Lemos up one to 13.
