Three important men were not happy with how the UFC 264 main event bout between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor ended. Two of those individuals were Poirier and McGregor. The third was UFC president Dana White.

The bout ended at the end of the first round when McGregor could not continue because of a leg injury. The result in the record book stands as a TKO win for Dustin Poirier via doctor stoppage.

After the fight card came to a close, White spoke at the post-fight press conference, saying, “The fight didn’t get finished. You can’t have a fight finish that way. We’ll see how this whole thing plays out. Who knows how long Conor’s out? Poirier will do his thing until Conor’s ready.”

Poirier’s beef wasn’t with the finish. Instead, he took umbrage with the things McGregor said before and after the bout.

“He was saying he was gonna kill me,” Poirier said. “You don’t say stuff like that. That he was gonna murder me. You don’t say stuff like that.”

As for McGregor, who was interviewed as he sat against the fence with his leg in a makeshift brace, he was livid.

“I was boxing the bleeding head off of him, kicking the bleeding leg off of him… This is not over,” McGregor said. “If we have to take this outside with him it’s on. I don’t give a bollocks!”

If the fourth bout between these two takes place, it’s likely going to come after Poirier faces current UFC lightweight champion, Charles Oliveira.

Here are the final fight stats from the third meeting between Poirier and McGregor.
