“TrillerVerz” – That’s the name of Triller’s new monthly event series, as they once again supplement their efforts in the sport of boxing with musical acts. Their previous event had Jake Paul vs Ben Askren along side the likes of Justin Bieber, Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube, and now Triller will add Verzuz battles into their upcoming boxing events.

Triller co-founder Ryan Kavanaugh announced through ESPN that they have partnered with Madison Square Garden to bring a monthly, Tuesday night boxing series at the Hulu Theater. This will start on August 3, with the boxing offering having the likes of Michael Hunter vs Mike Wilson, and former champion Chris Algieri against a yet to be named opponent.

The portion with Verzuz, a popular music series streamed on platforms such as Instagram, Apple Music and Triller, will reportedly start right after the boxing main event. The inaugural “TrillerVerz” event on August will reportedly feature a battle between rappers N.O.R.E. and Beanie Sigel.

“We couldn’t be more excited to be bringing back ‘boxing Tuesdays’ at the Mecca of boxing, Madison Square Garden, combining the excitement and purity of boxing with the innovation and cultural relevance of Verzuz,” Kavanaugh said.

Verzuz was created by Timbaland and Swizz Beatz, and the pair will still produce and oversee that segment of the event. ESPN reports that Lou DiBella will be the local promoter for the boxing portion.

Triller’s latest boxing card was postponed after Teofimo Lopez tested positive for COVID-19.
