It’s just about time for UFC Vegas 30, which hails from the promotion’s APEX facility in Nevada, USA. Atop the card we have a top-ranked heavyweight tussle between the 8-0 Ciryl Gane and the 33-8 Alexander Volkov. Bloody Elbow is here to bring you the betting odds for this clash of top-tier titans, as well as for the rest of the UFC Vegas 30 lineup.

Despite his young record, the oddsmakers have seen enough out of Ciryl Gane to list him as the betting favorite over a much more seasoned Alexander Volkov. Gane is on deck at a cost of -155, with a successful $100 gamble seeing a total return of $164.52. As for Volkov, his underdog line is sitting around a value of +130. That means a winning $100 wager on the Russian would see a payout of $235.

The bookies and betting public are at odds over whether or not this five-round main event will be going the distance. The prop bet ‘Fight goes to decision’ started out with an underdog tag of +105, but has since dropped down to a minus line of -115. On the other side of that coin, the ‘Fight doesn’t go to decision’ option has shifted from its initial offering of -145, to its current residence that is also at the -115 mark.

Gane has caught some early bodies in his young career, but he’s also gone to a decision in two of his last three outings. Since stepping up in competition, he’s had that finish over an aged Junior dos Santos, and then neutralized and out-pointed Tanner Boser and Jairzinho Rozenstruik. Volkov has only gone the distance twice in his last seven fights. He finished the likes of Alistair Overeem, Walt Harris, and Fabricio Werdum — but somehow went the distance with Greg Hardy. You can do the math on that one.

Gane just might be light enough on his feet to avoid the big shots, while Volkov seems durable enough to manage the volume that’ll likely be coming his way. Let’s not forget that Volkov was 11-seconds away from beating Derrick Lewis before getting blasted with some super-human horsepower. He also took an L to Curtis Blaydes, but other than that he has been outstanding in the UFC. This is a great test for a relatively inexperienced Gane, who is taking on someone with way more experience in Volkov. This one could very well get a sticky, and just might end up in the hands of the judges.
