According to MMA Fighting UFC featherweight Luis Peña, 27, was arrested in Coral Springs, FL on Friday and charged with robbery by sudden snatching, battery and criminal mischief.

A police spokesperson told MMA Fighting that Peñawas picked up after an anonymous tip. That spokesperson also said that it is likely that the warrant that lead to Peña’s arrested, issued by a county outside of Coral Springs, could be the result of Peñamissing an earlier arraignment hearing for robbery and battery charges.

Peña, whose nickname is Violent Bob Ross, was a cast-mate on season 27 of The Ultimate Fighter in 2018. He won his opening fight on that show. However, a foot injury ruled him out of the remainder of that competition.

He made his full UFC debut at the TUF season finale, defeating Richie Smullen by guillotine choke. He then lost a split decision to Michael Trizano.

Since then he has gone 4-2 in the Octagon, elevating his pro record to 9-3. During that run he has beaten Matt Wiman by TKO and decisioned Steven Peterson and Steve Garcia.

Most recently, at UFC on ESPN: Whittaker vs. Gastelum in April, Peña defeated Alexander Munoz by split decision.
