If you’re already one of the many fans of Chan Sung Jung, this story will make you love him even more. As his coach Eddie Cha revealed to UFC correspondent Laura Sanko in a post-fight interview, “The Korean Zombie” injured his right shoulder for a brief moment during his headliner fight against Dan Ige at UFC Vegas 29 on Saturday.

He did pop his shoulder in and out, the same shoulder that he messed up in the Aldo fight (in 2013). He won’t ever say that kind of stuff…

(It happened) in the second round when he went for the takedown and took (Ige’s) back. That’s when it kind of popped in and out a little bit.

So we were kind of constantly telling him to raise his hands and after the fight, he’s like ‘that’s why I couldn’t raise my hand.’ We were like, ‘Oh, OK.’

With his unanimous decision victory over Ige, Jung is now back in the win column after his loss to Brian Ortega last October.
