Not one to pass up an opportunity to steal some thunder, Jon Jones again sent a bunch of tweets after a big UFC event. This time, the former champion flexed his record for most UFC title wins after Israel Adesanya defended his middleweight belt against Marvin Vettori at UFC 263.

The bout marked Adesanya’s fifth victory in a title bout, in just three years with the promotion. Jones, who has been in the UFC for 13 years, decided it was time to remind everyone that he has almost triple of Adesanya’s total.

“I better hurry up and get back in there, they’re starting to catch up,” Jones wrote as he reacted to Adesanya’s win.

Jones, who has never lost a title bout, has 14 championship wins in his career. It would’ve been 15, if his win over Daniel Cormier wasn’t overturned after testing positive for an anabolic steroid.

Jones and Adesanya have repeatedly traded barbs in recent years, but the pair seems highly unlikely to ever actually fight. The longtime light heavyweight champion is planning a move up to heavyweight, but negotiations with the UFC hasn’t gotten anywhere just yet.

If everything goes according to his plan though, Jones wants to move up and end his career with six more title wins.
