UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya defends his title against Marvin Vettori this weekend at UFC 263.

Since coming to the UFC in 2018 Adesanya has impressed with flashy performances over middleweight mainstays like Derek Brunson, Anderson Silva and Kelvin Gastelum. His undefeated run in the UFC landed him a title shot versus Robert Whittaker in 2019.

‘The Last Stylebender’ won that fight with an emphatic KO to lift the UFC’s 185 lb crown. Adesanya then defended that title versus Yoel Romero and Paulo Costa. In March Adesanya attempted to become a champ-champ, jumping up to light heavyweight to take on Jan Blachowicz for the UFC light heavyweight title.

However, Adesanya lost to Blachowicz by decision. Now The Nigerian-Kiwi is back at middleweight to face a man he beat by split decision in his second ever UFC bout.

Along Adesanya’s impressive path inside the cage, there has been plenty to note outside of it, too. In a little over two years Adesanya has shown himself to be one of the bigger characters in the UFC, with plenty of memorable moments of trash talk and lighthearted antics.

Combat Culture has collated some of those moment and they can be viewed above. Check them out and let us know your favourites in the comments below.
