UFC Vegas 28 wasn’t exactly a dud, but not a lot happened outside of the top two fights. The decision-heavy event didn’t lead to a lot of movement rankings-wise, outside of one man – co-main event winner Marcin Tybura.
Tybura’s first-round finish of Walt Harris cemented him as a top-ten fighter at heavyweight, and probably earned him a title contender the next time he steps into the cage. In other news, Santiago Ponzinibbio re-joined the crowd of ranked welterweights, and Muslim Salikhov got in there for the first time.
He’s a look at the few changes this week.
Men’s P4P – No changes.
Heavyweight – Tybura and Harris flip-flopped the eight and eleven positions respectively, putting Harris outside the top ten again. Blagoy Ivanov dropped one to take over 12 on his own.
Light Heavyweight – No changes.
Middleweight – No changes.
Welterweight – The Ponz re-enters at 13 after beating Miguel Baeza. Sean Brady drops one to 14. Salikhov enters at 15 following a decision win over Francisco Trinaldo. Robbie Lawler was apparently removed from the rankings due to inactivity.
Lightweight – Paul Felder’s removal due to retirement let a few inactive fighters move up a spot. Kevin Lee, Diego Ferreira, Drew Dober, and Thiago Moises are up one each to 11 through 14 respectively. Arman Tsarukyan enters for the first time at 15.
Featherweight – No changes.
Bantamweight – No changes.
Flyweight – No changes.
Women’s P4P – No changes.
