UFC Vegas 28 results: Jairzinho Rozenstruik TKO’s Augusto Sakai in another buzzer-beating finish
Bloody Elbow 2.0 | Anton Tabuena

The top of the UFC Vegas 28 billing was the setting where the promotion’s #6 rated heavyweight, Jairzinho Rozenstruik, TKO’d the #9 rated, Augusto Sakai, with just one-second left in the first round. The bulk of the fight happened at a bit of a reserved pace, but as soon as there was 10-seconds to go in the round, Rozenstruik unleashed a smooth flurry of punches that floored Sakai. A couple of ground strikes sealed the deal as the referee stepped in with just a single second left on the clock… again! He also dusted Alistair Overeem back in 2019 with just four-seconds to go in the fifth frame. ‘Ten-seconds to go Rozenstruik’ just might become an MMA mythological creature.

Rozenstruik took the center of the Octagon right away, forcing Sakai to play the outside. A ton of respect was being shown on both sides, as a lot of feints were being thrown out there, but very few strikes were actually being delivered. Just as the ten-seconds stick had clacked, Rozenstruik blitzed Sakai with a blistering left-right that dropped him. A couple of follow up ground strikes came flying in just as the referee stopped the fight… and then the bell rang.
