The farce of the century is getting nearer by the second, with 50-0 ‘retired’ pro boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. due to face YouTuber (and 0-1 pro boxer) Logan Paul in an ‘exhibition’ bout on June 6. The event will take place at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Fl and air on Showtime.

Mayweather’s last pro bout came against UFC star Conor McGregor. In 2017 he TKO’d the Irishman to secure his 50th win before retiring from the sport. In 2018 Mayweather returned to the ring for an exhibition bout against Japanese kickboxing star Tenshin Nasukawa.

That bout, which happened under the RIZIN banner, finished in a first round TKO (corner stoppage) for Mayweather.

Paul’s only pro bout was against fellow YouTuber KSI in January 2020. That six round fight was scored as a split decision win for KSI.

The co-main event for Mayweather vs. Paul was expected to be Badou Jack versus Jean Pascal. However, Pascal has been removed from the card after a failed drug test.

Jack’s next opponent is unbeaten Venezuelan Dervin Colina.

Also on the card former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson is expected to make his combat sports debut. He is slated to face bare knuckle and MMA veteran Brian Maxwell.

Rounding out the four fight card is a bout between former unified light middleweight world champion Jarret Hurd and Luis Arias.

Main card (Showtime PPV at 8 p.m. ET)

Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul

Badou Jack vs. Dervin Colina

Jarret Hurd vs. Luis Arias

Chad Johnson vs. Brian Maxwell [Exhibition]
