Phillip Keller, 39, who fought with Titan FC twice last year, has been charged with first-degree premeditated murder in Brevard County, Fl. He is accused of murdering his 35-year-old fiancé Alicia Campitelli.

Campitelli’s body was discovered by sheriff deputies at around 12 p.m. on May 15 after a 911 call made by Keller. Keller had called 911 to report that Campitelli was dead and that someone may have broken into their apartment on Merritt Island.

According to Florida Today. while at the scene of the crime, deputies noticed that Keller was injured. Reportedly, it appeared as though he had a gunshot wound. A neighbor later told investigators that they had heard gunshots at around 1 a.m that morning.

Investigators then discovered surveillance footage that allegedly showed Keller withdrawing hundreds of dollars from Campitelli’s bank account shortly after the time of the reported gunshots.

Investigators were then alerted by an acquaintance of Keller, who claimed that Keller had shared details of the crime with them in a phone call. The acquaintance then cooperated with investigators to set up a second call with Keller, which was recorded.

In that call Keller is accused of telling his friend, “I killed her bro. I killer her high as [expletive]. I did it. I don’t know how I did it but I can’t live with myself knowing that.”

Keller is also accused of telling that friend that, while on MDMA, he shot Campitelli twice in “cold blood” and that he disposed of the murder weapon in a nearby canal.

Keller was arrested last Thursday, When he was spotted by deputies Keller tried to avoid capture by leaping into a creek.

Keller is now being held without bond. If found guilty of first-degree murder Keller faces a possible death penalty.
