UFC 261 record rundown: Valentina Shevchenko looks to add to her growing list of flyweight records
Bloody Elbow 2.0 | Anton Tabuena

Valentina Shevchenko was 0-2 against Amanda Nunes when she dropped from bantamweight to flyweight. Her first UFC fight at 125 pounds went well. Shevchenko overwhelmed the over-matched Priscila Cachoeira in that 2018 bout. The fight ended before the end of the second stanza. Shevchenko won via submission. She earned a “Performance of the Night” bonus for her troubles and set several records in the women’s flyweight division during the abbreviated scrap.

In her next outing, Shevchenko won the vacant women’s flyweight title with a decision win over Joanna Jedrzejczyk. Shevchenko has defended that belt four times. Her most recent win came in November when Shevchenko earned a decision victory over Jennifer Maia. The champ added her name to the women’s flyweight record book during that scrap as well.

On Saturday, at UFC 261, Shevchenko puts her title on the line against former strawweight champion Jessica Andrade. Shevchenko holds nine UFC women’s flyweight records outright, and she is tied for the top spot in three more. Those records, in grappling and striking, point to Shevchenko’s all-around MMA abilities. Will the defending champ leave Florida with more UFC records at 125 pounds?

Below is a look at the UFC flyweight records of Valentina Shevchenko before she faces Jessica Andrade on the UFC 261 fight card.

UFC 261 takes place Saturday at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. The main card streams on ESPN+ pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+ and early prelims on ESPN+ and UFC Fight Pass.
