In an unfortunate turn of events, both fights that opened the UFC 261 main card ended with leg injuries. Firstly, Anthony Smith kicked Jimmy Crute’s leg en route to a doctor stoppage at the end of the first round. Afterwards, in rather ironic fashion, Chris Weidman broke his shin in half when Uriah Hall checked his kick, just like he did to Anderson Silva back in 2013. On Twitter, pro fighters reacted to both endings.
