The much talked about boxing match between Jake Paul and Ben Askren ended with the YouTuber-turned-boxer swiftly stopping the former UFC star in the opening round.

Social media was buzzing, with celebrities and fighters all reacting to the action from the high-profile bout. The pair of fighters has also now issued very brief tweets reacting to the contest via Twitter, which you can see below.

Askren also retweeted a model and influencer in Amanda Cerny, who brought up Askren’s pretty lucrative payday.

Askren made $500,000 for 119 seconds of work, which was a career high purse for him, despite holding multiple MMA belts and having three UFC bouts. Paul on the other hand, had a $690,000 base purse, and will have a cut of the pay-per-view, which seems to have done really well.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir also had a pretty sizable purse for his efforts, despite a decision loss to Steve Cunningham.
