Us face-punching fans often piss off the combat sports gods and we miss out on Randy/Fedor and Khabib/Tony, or get Floyd/Manny way late. As punishment, we are graced with the spectacle of YouTuber Jake Paul vs. former Bellator and ONE welterweight MMA champion Ben Askren in a boxing bout — with Frank Mir making his sweet science debut on the undercard. Bloody Elbow is here to provide the betting odds for this travesty, but that doesn’t mean we’re happy about it.

When the odds first dropped for this clash of… let’s just say personalities, Paul opened up as a -200 betting favorite to Askren’s underdog line of +160. Fast forward to today, the betting lines have Jake still favored, but down a bit to the -162 range. “Funky” Ben’s underdog value has dropped as well, and is now circulating around the +147 mark.

Not only is Paul favored to get the win, but he’s expected to do so inside the distance. The prop bet ‘Paul wins by TKO/KO or DQ’ holds a small favored line of -137. The same prop going the other way, ‘Askren wins by TKO/KO or DQ,’ can be scooped up at a sizable underdog value of +400. In all honesty, with Askren’s lack of polish and how green Paul is, a disqualification seems kind of likely. If it’s a good time you’re looking for, be sure to check out these unorthodox props so that you can bet on whether or not Ben and Jake will bite each other.

On the undercard, former 2x UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir will be making his professional boxing debut against former 2x IBF cruiserweight champ, Steve Cunningham. Like Askren, Mir is totally known for his hands… Hold on, I need a second to regain my composure. One Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi.

Okay, I’m back. Mir is on the betting table as a colossal +1400 underdog to Cunningham’s severely favored moneyline of -2500. The prop bet ‘Cunningham wins by TKO/KO or DQ’ is available at a heavily favored tick of -455, with a +800 comeback on ‘Mir wins by TKO/KO or DQ.’ In case you couldn’t figure it out, Mir is expected to get knocked out here.
