Bloody Elbow 2.0 | Anton Tabuena

The Lioness and the Predator each went home with a full belly that night.

This slick trip drawing is 75% charcoal on newprint and 25% digital charcoal. That’s why Yan’s leg comes off the paper.

These drawings will appear in a future volume of my book series: The Fine Art of Violence. It’s a collection of art & essays chronicling a single year in MMA. Volume 2 comes out Spring 2021 and will feature essays by Julie Kedzie, Chuck Mindenhall, Shaheen Al-Shatti, Fernanda Prates, Eugene S. Robinson, and Josh Rosenblatt as well as artwork by myself, Edward Cao, and Adam Nelson. Details to follow.

Take care of yourself and I’ll talk to you Wednesday.
