Ever wonder what would happen if a highly skilled lightweight martial artist took on an incredibly strong super heavyweight? Well, that’s why the UFC was started wasn’t it? Despite the modern sport moving away from such spectacles those questions often remain.
Recently top UFC lightweight Dustin Poirier did his best to help provide some answers, when he grappled Brian Shaw, a four time winner of World’s Strongest Man. Check out the video below to see how Diamond fared against a man who has competed between 300 and 440 lbs in his own sport.
As you can see, size doesn’t always matter, as the much smaller Poirier was able to get on Shaw’s back and tap him with the rear naked choke. However, it seems as though Poirier didn’t have it all his way. Check the replies to see Shaw turn the tables on the former interim UFC lightweight champion.

Poirier isn’t the only UFC star testing himself versus someone much bigger than him. Before Poirier’s efforts hit Twitter, a video popped up showing Nate Diaz grappling with bodybuilder/influencer and US power-lifting record holder BIG BOY.
See how that went below:
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Diaz was able to tap the jacked BJJ neophyte. He gets him with a guillotine around the 5 minute mark.
