UFC 260 felt like a pivotal moment for the former welterweight champion in Tyron Woodley. He was matched up against Vicente Luque and the main talking point was how he was going to look after a string of bad losses.
He started out strong and aggressive as he looked to break those bad habits. Woodley landed good shots early, but was eventually caught with a right hand and was badly hurt, and eventually submitted.

Tyron Woodley vs. Vicente Luque, round 1
Woodley jumps in right away with strikes. That’s unusual. Luque defends a takedown attempt. Woodley with a nice right, way more aggressive than usual. This is good. Luque closes the distances and tries to wrestle the wrestler. They reverse each other a few times. A big right wobbles Luque! ANOTHER BIG RIGHT HAS WOODLEY IN WOBBLY TOWN! Holy cow! Woodley ducks down and Luque looks for a D’Arce choke! HOLY BAD WORD! LUQUE STOPPED HIM!
Vicente Luque defeated Tyron Woodley via submission (D’Arce choke), round 1
