Things are getting a little more heated between Ben Askren and Jake Paul, as ‘Funky’ facepalmed Paul during their staredown at the pre-fight press conference before casually walking offstage, seemingly unaffected by the latter’s retaliatory body shot.

This is the first time both men have come face to face since their eight-round PPV boxing match was announced earlier in January.
Paul, 24, is 2-0 against unranked competition but has finished both of his opponents via KO. Askren, on the other hand, has never fought in the boxing ring but has a wealth of experience in combat sports, notching world titles under the Bellator and ONE Championship banners and being a decorated collegiate wrestler. Paul has youth on his side while Askren, who turns 37 in July, has the experiental advantage.
The matchup will take place under the Triller Fight Club banner on April 17 at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
