The must-see fight at KSW 59 is now gone.

Mariusz Pudzianowski was supposed to face Ousmane ‘Bombardier’ Dia, a Senegalese wrestler who outweighs the former World’s Strongest Man by nearly 70 pounds. This was supposed to be the type of circus fight combined with KSW’s tremendous presentation that MMA fans could get behind.

And now it’s no longer happening.

Hours before the main card was supposed to kick off, the promotion revealed the horrible news that ‘Bombardier’ has been hospitalized with “an acute appendicitis attack” and thus the main event fight is gone.

Obviously the hope is that Bombardier is alright and can make a full recovery while he’s in hospital.

As of this writing we do not know who will be Bombardier’s replacement against Pudzilla but the idea of Mariusz fighting someone much bigger than him was so intriguing and now that’s out of the question.

Sometimes these things happen in MMA.

Update: KSW confirms that Serbian judo and sambo champion Nikola Milanovic will replace Bombardier.
