In back to back events, a high profile UFC bout has ended with a terrible foul. The UFC Vegas 21 main event was brought to a halt after Leon Edwards accidentally poked Belal Muhammad in the eye in the second-round. Leon was off to a strong start, rocking his adversary with a head kick in the opening act. Then, just as the second round got underway, Edwards poked Belal in the eye while he was throwing a kick. The fight was stopped and Muhammad was in some serious pain. The fight was consequently declared a no contest.

Check out Tim Burke’s play-by-play of Leon Edwards’ big mistake on Belal Muhammad:

Right away, Edwards lands a huge eye poke and Muhammad is crying in pain. Oh my god. He’s totally messed up. He’s unable to control himself. He admits that he can’t say anything, but he’s inconsolable. Understandably, this is his first main event and he’s super messed up. It was a nasty eye poke. Ugh. I feel so bad for Belal.

Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad go to a No Contest (accidental eye poke) :18 of round 2
