Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship has already reached out to both Alistair Overeem and Junior dos Santos following their removal from the UFC roster earlier this week.

BKFC president David Feldman is ‘interested’ in signing both fighters and is currently waiting on a response from the former UFC heavyweights and their respective teams.

“Yes, we are interested in both Junior dos Santos and Alistair Overeem. We have already made contact with them and their teams. Let’s see what happens,” Feldman told BJPenn.com via text message on Friday.

The bare knuckle fight promotion has already signed a plethora of ex-UFC fighters such as Chris Leben, Artem Lobov, Chris Lytle and, most recently, Paige VanZant. VanZant made her promotional debut at BKFC Knucklemania last month, losing to Britain Hart via unanimous decision.

Overeem and dos Santos would make two huge additions to the roster, but neither man has expressed any interest in bare knuckle fighting.

Dos Santos has fought almost exclusively in MMA while Overeem has won multiple world titles in both MMA and kickboxing.

‘The Reem’ released a statement on his UFC release earlier this week.

“The final run has come to an end, but what a run it has been. Looking back at my 10 years in the UFC, this has been the experience of a lifetime. Huge thank you to the entire @ufc staff, the fans and all the fighters I came across. Couldn’t have wished for any other better career path. A special thank you to @danawhite and Lorenzo Fertitta for making everything possible. Fighting for all of you has been such an honor.”
