It’s fight day for UFC 258 (February 13th) which is blasting off tonight from the promotion’s APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. The UFC’s welterweight title will be up for grabs in the main event when the defending champ, Kamaru Usman, squares off with the #1 contender, Gilbert Burns. Bloody Elbow is on deck with the betting lines for this PPV card, and also with the odds for the prelims.

Since the betting lines dropped for this clash of teammates, the reigning champion in Usman has held on as a hefty -235 betting favorite, while Burns has remained as a sizable +241 underdog. A winning wager on Usman’s line would cash out $142.55 altogether, with a successful gamble on Burn’s moneyline would pay out a total of $341.

If the betting lines are any indication, then don’t expect to see a finish here in the UFC 258 main event. When it comes to the prop bet ‘Fight Goes Distance,’ Odds.com has the ‘Yes’ bet sporting a price tag of -138, with a +120 comeback on the ‘No’ option. I mean, Kamaru is hard to kill and has more decisions on his record than he does finishes. Gilbert has proven to be more lethal than the Usman, but four out of his last six matches have gone the distance.

The over/under for this 25-minute title fight has been set at 4.5 rounds. Since this bout is favored to go the distance, it’s no surprise to see the ‘Over 4.5’ prop rocking a minus line of -145, and the ‘Under 4.5’ ticket posted up in slight underdog territory at +123. You never really know what sort of x-factors are brought when teammates fight one another. If this one does go the distance, let’s just hope it’s because of a war and not because of a high-stakes sparring match.
