With the UFC back in Las Vegas, the fight week scratches due to positive COVID-19 tests have also returned.

Veteran women’s bantamweight Marion Reneau tested positive for the virus and her fight with Macy Chiasson is scratched from Saturday’s UFC VEGAS 18 main card. The bout will be rescheduled for UFC Vegas 20 on February 27th.

“Unfortunately, I tested positive for COVID. I am feeling 100% fine with no symptoms,” Reneau wrote on Instagram.

“Macy and I have agreed to run it back on FEBRUARY 27! I appreciate Macy and her camp for being professional and willing to make this fight happen.

“AND thank you for all the support leading up to this fight. Postponed…NOT CANCELLED! The goal doesn’t change! Just the date!”

Reneau (9-6-1) has lost her last three but she’s still #9 in the official UFC women’s bantamweight rankings. Chiasson (6-1) won The Ultimate Fighter season 28 women’s featherweight tournament before dropping to bantamweight. She’s coming off a decision win over Shanna Young, bouncing back from her first career loss to Lina Lansberg.

UFC VEGAS 18 features a heavyweight main event between contenders Alistair Overeem and Alexander Volkov. The entire card will stream exclusively on ESPN+.
