This weekend sees a rematch that is over six years in the making, between former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor and former UFC interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier.
The fight, which headlines UFC 257, is set for this Saturday — live from Yas Island (aka Fight Island) off of Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Before the festivities, though, there is plenty of content to hype you up; including media day. Check out the video below to see video of Daniel Cormier, John Kavanagh and Mike Brown answering questions from the assembled media.
Cormier, the former UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight champion, has commentary duties for the big fight. Kavanagh will, as always, be in McGregor’s corner for the fight. The leader of Straight Blast Gym Ireland has been marshalling McGregor’s in ring/cage career ever since the Dubliner began training in MMA.
Mike Brown, a former WEC featherweight champion, is one of the top trainers at American Top Team and he has worked closely with Poirier over a span that saw Poirier transform from a middling featherweight to one of the top 155 lb fighters in the world.
