The UFC is back for their first Fight Night event of 2021. And it goes down on Fight Island, marking the UFC’s return to Abu Dhabi for the first time since last summer: UFC FIGHT ISLAND 7: ‘HOLLOWAY VS KATTAR’.
Saturday’s headliner in the desert will be a featherweight showdown between Max Holloway and Calvin Katter, with the winner expected to soon challenge Alex Volkaonvoski for his 145 lb title. Will Holloway get a third crack at the Aussie or has Kattar truly arrived in the championship picture?
In the co-main event is a fight that has been years in the making: Carlos Condit vs. Matt Brown. These two are both up there in age now, but still, they are two of the most popular (and violent) fighters in the promotion’s history. Also on the main card, Santiago Ponzinibbio returns from a long injury lay off to take on Li Jingliang. Additionally there is a spot on the main card for viral superstar Joaquin Buckley who will be hoping to put Alessio Di Chirico on his highlight reel.

Even thought there will be a small crowd in attendence for this weekend’s event, there will not be any ceremonial weigh-ins.
