Over eighteen months since his last fight, Ryan Hall is set to return to the octagon to fight Dan Ige at a UFC Fight Night on March 13th.
BJPenn.com first reported the news. The Fight Night on March 13th is currently without a location, but will be headlined by a rescheduled welterweight fight between Leon Edwards vs. Khamzat Chimaev, and also features a heavyweight bout between Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Ciryl Gane.
Since winning season 22 of The Ultimate Fighter, Hall (8-1) has always struggled to find a fight at featherweight. “The Wizard” has only fought four times in the last five years, going unbeaten in that time. Hall’s last win was by decision to Darren Elkins in July 2019, and he notably was the first person to submit BJ Penn in MMA competition.
Ige (14-3) is coming off of a decision loss to Calvin Kattar at UFC Fight Island 1 last July. “Dynamite” was on a six-fight winning streak before his recent loss, picking up decision wins against the likes of Edson Barboza and Mirsad Bektic.
Hall currently sits at #13 in the featherweight rankings whilst Ige is at #11.
