It’s been almost a month since Jake Paul fought Nate Robinson in the co-main event of Mike Tyson’s exhibition bout with Roy Jones Jr. In the time since, the YouTuber turned pro-boxer has made himself a fixture in the MMA discourse both calling out some of the sport’s biggest stars and getting called out in turn.

Among the most ambitious call-outs that Paul has leveled on the mixed martial arts side of things is a supposed $50 million offer to UFC superstar Conor McGregor. Paul’s released videos of himself antagonizing McGregor training partner Dillon Danis and even went so far as to talk some trash about the Irishman’s longtime partner Dee Devlin.

“I know you’re probably beating up old dudes in a bar right now or maybe you’re jacking off as you’re sick of f-cking your wife,” Paul said in a video posted to his Instagram. “I mean, she’s a four, Conor you could do a lot better, but happy Monday!”

The comments don’t come as much of a surprise from Paul, who tends to bask in the attention that being an outlandish troll brings him. However, TMZ caught up with him later on to ask if he felt he was taking things a bit too far by bringing McGregor’s family into the conversation.

“I don’t give a fuck,” Paul told the outlet. “He spoke on Khabib’s wife. He said that Khabib’s wife looks like a ‘towel.’

“Yeah, that’s what I’m saying,” he continued, speaking of McGregor’s history of inflammatory comments. “Now he’s getting a taste of his own medicine and now people are butthurt? I’m going too far? Fuck off. This is the fight game. Like, why are people being bitches now, all of a sudden? Same with Dillon Danis. They said shit about religion, Khabib’s religion. Fuck those guys.”

The “towel” comments came back in 2019, several months after the former UFC double-champ lost to Nurmagomedov, giving up his lightweight belt in the process. The Tweet was deleted shortly after being posted, but nothing ever gets truly erased from the internet.

Paul is clearly working to get under the skin of SBG Ireland talent. But as long as McGregor remains under UFC contract it seems highly unlikely that fans will ever see the two men square off in the ring.
