UFC Vegas 17 video highlights: Stephen Thompson dominates Geoff Neal on the feet

The UFC Vegas 17 main event got a full-form Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson putting on a striking clinic against the #11 rated welterweight, Geoff Neal, to handily win a unanimous decision. We got a classic Wonderboy performance as he out-classed Neal on the feet. We saw tons of footwork coupled with plenty of sniping. Neal struggled to land effective offense, mostly due to how elusive Thompson was being. The volume was high for Thompson, even when he sustained a foot injury and had to fight the final round on one wheel. Wonderboy looked fantastic tonight and has bagged himself a consecutive win.

Round 5 – Neal knows he’s down and comes out firing! He lands 2 big shots. Three 1-2’s from Wonderboy. He’s pressing now and lands to the chest. Neal fires back! Thompson slips and rips. Three times. Beautiful. He’s right out of his opponent’s range but landing a bunch. Neal closes it and lands inside. Clinch. They reset and touch up. Wonderboy slips and lands a beauty combo. Neal lands hard! Thompson steps out and clips him! Neal clips him back! The last fifteen seconds were straight fire! 10-9 and 50-45 Thompson, but Neal showed a lot.
