Multiple promotions have reached out and are interested in signing Yoel Romero following initial reports that Bellator and Professional Fighters League (PFL) rejected the UFC veteran, according to a recent Tweet by ESPN’s Ariel Helwani.

Helwani didn’t state which promotions are interested in signing Romero but hinted that Bellator and PFL may have done a 180 and had a change of heart.

“Things are heating up again in the Yoel Romero sweepstakes, I’m told,” Helwani reported on Thursday. “Of note, promotions that were initially not interested are now interested and preparing offers or have already made an offer. No final decision at the moment.”

Polish MMA promotion Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki (KSW) is also jumping on the bandwagon, as KSW CEO Martin Lewandowski tweeted earlier today that he might be interested in signing the Cuban powerhouse.

“Yes, you are right @arielhelwani. Yoel Romero in KSW does sound interesting,” Lewandowski posted.

There’s also Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), who stated their desire to sign Romero from the moment he left the UFC.

“We are very interested. How could we not be? He has BKFC written all over him,” Feldman told BJPenn.com. “He would be a welcome addition, we will see if we can make it happen.”

Romero is 1-4 in his last five fights but is still widely considered one of the best middleweights in the world. The 43-year-old Olympic silver medalist holds highlight reel knockout wins over Luke Rockhold, Chris Weidman, and Lyoto Machida.
