UFC 256 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the second episode for this weekend’s big show in UFC Apex, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
We start off at Brandon Moreno’s house. He’s shadowboxing and doing mitt work in the garage. Jose Quinonez will be in his corner.
Quickly we move to the airport, where Charles Oliveira is arriving. He’s taking the fight on short notice, but he’s ready. He respects Tony Ferguson and think he has a unique game, but it’s his time.
Moreno heads over the the Performance Institute. Flyweight champ Deiveson Figueiredo is there too. Wallid is talking for him. Figueiredo gets a massage as Wallid talks about how good the weight cut has been. Tony Ferguson is there too, and he says hi to Moreno and his team. El Cucuy isn’t sure what kind of workout he’s going to do. He calls it “impromptu snapjitsu”. Sure. He hits a speed bag for a bit. With his elbows too. He likes the Do Bronx fight.
Moreno does some sparring. He knows Figueiredo has a powerful right hand, but he thinks he’s faster and more technical. He says it’s about huevos when things get tough. Ferguson crawls down the stairs on his hands and knees. Sure.
And that’s it! UFC 256 goes down this Saturday in UFC Apex.
