It’s fight day for UFC Vegas 16, which kicks off tonight (December 5th) from the company’s APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. The card’s main event will take place in the185-pound division when the #3 ranked, Jack Hermansson, clashes with the #13 rated, Marvin Vettori. Bloody Elbow is here to bring you the betting odds for this middleweight matchup, as well as for the rest of the contests from the event.
The oddsmakers over at online gambling site 5Dimes.eu had Hermansson opening up as a -155 betting favorite, with Vettori starting out as a +125 underdog. Those moneylines didn’t last for very long as an almost instant shift happened, causing the betting lines to flip. Now, it is the #13 ranked Marvin that owns the favored position, and he can now be acquired at a minus line of -135. As for the #3 ranked Jack, his new moneyline now involves an underdog tag of +125.
The over/under for this five-round fight has been set at 2.5 rounds. Gamblers can lay the price on the ‘Over’ for a cost of -132, or take the price on the ‘Under’ at a value of +117. According to the bookies, this contest will not be lasting the full 25-minutes. The prop bet ‘Fight doesn’t go to decision’ is holding a strongly favored line of -195, with a +160 comeback on the ‘Fight goes to decision’ option.
It looks like Vettori is the fighter that has been deemed most likely to produce a finish. The exotic bet ‘Vettori wins inside distance’ is available at a small underdog value of +150, with ‘Not Vettori inside distance’ trending at a favored mark of -180. Going back the other way, the proposition ‘Hermansson wins inside distance’ is sitting at a much higher underdog value of +250, with ‘Not Hermansson inside distance’ being quite favored at -335.
