After Bellator, ONE Championship, and PFL rejected the idea of signing Anderson Silva, another viable option that popped up is to get the UFC legend into bare-knuckle boxing. It is, after all, an organization that signed ex-UFC fighters like Artem Lobov, Chris Leben, Paige VanZant, and Bec Rawlings.

But as it turns out, even BKFC isn’t interested in getting into “The Spider” business. Here’s what company president David Feldman told BJPenn.com:

“At this time we are not interested in Anderson Silva competing for BKFC. He’s a legend and I loved watching him fight. We need to concentrate on building our fighters already signed to BKFC.”

He did say “at this time,” so there’s still a possibility in the future?

In any case, good on Feldman for making a sensible decision, and hopefully, he sticks to it. I, for one, am not too thrilled about the idea of seeing a late-40s Silva get cut up and beaten way worse than he was in his last three fights.
