UFC 255 results: Deiveson Figueiredo quickly submits Alex Perez with arm-in guillotine
Bloody Elbow 2.0 | Anton Tabuena

The UFC 255 PPV main card just closed out with the promotion’s flyweight king, Deiveson Figueiredo, stopping the #4 ranked, Alex Perez, with a guillotine choke in just under two-minutes. After the champion dove on a leg lock, Perez punched his way out to take top position. The problem was that Figueiredo grabbed a hold of an arm-in guillotine. Perez fought to escape, and even tried to stand to his feet and potentially slam his way out of trouble, but the squeeze of Figueiredo proved to be too much. Perez tapped.

This was Figueiredo’s first title defense and the champ is quite legit. He is just as capable of submitting someone as he is of knocking them unconscious. In his post-fight interview, Figueiredo called for a fight with the UFC’s #1 ranked 125-pounder, Brandon Moreno, who finished Brandon Royval earlier in the evening.
