UFC 255 results: Katlyn Chookagian outclasses Cynthia Calvillo in decision win
Bloody Elbow 2.0 | Anton Tabuena

The UFC 255 PPV main card just got a top-ranked women’s flyweight matchup between the #2 ranked, Katlyn Chookagian, and the #4 ranked, Cynthia Calvillo. This was pretty much The Chookagian Show. She had a stellar performance, commanding the Octagon and keeping her opponent at the end of her strikes. This was an excellent way to bounce back after getting stopped with a body shot by Jessica Andrade just last month. Chookagian keeps her spot at the top of the 125-pound division, and prevents Calvillo from finding a path to a title shot.

Chookagian took the center of the Octagon to get things going, with Calvillo dancing along the outside. Chookagian was doing a solid job of throwing her long strikes and keeping Calvillo on the outside. When Calvillo did shoot in, Chookagian sprawled properly to keep the fight standing. Calvillo did land a couple of leap in hooks.

Chookagian stayed the course int he second act. She pressed forward behind her long strikes again, making sure that Calvillo stays on the outside. Calvillo didn’t seem to have any answers, and was stuck getting picked apart on the outside. The third round was more of the same. Calvillo just didn’t have anything for Chookagian tonight.

Katlyn Chookagian def. Cynthia Calvillo by unanimous decision (30-27 x3): (W) Flyweight
