The UFC remains at the APEX facility this weekend with a pay-per-view offering that sees two belts on the line: ‘UFC 255 – ‘FIGUEIREDO VS PEREZ’.

In the main event, recently crowned flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo will attempt his first title defense, versus Alex Perez. In the co-main event the promotion’s other flyweight champ, Valentina Shevchenko—who has reigned supreme for nearly two years—will defend versus former Invicta FC champion Jennifer Maia.

Also on the card Mike Perry, who was recently accused of domestic violence, has an opportunity to compete versus Tim Means (a late replacement for former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler). This morning Perry took to twitter to share distressing info about the state of his weight cut.

Can’t believe I’ve been here this long. Maybe I should just lay the gloves down. I don’t want it. I’m just in over my head with this weight. I was just 189 and now I’m 177 and I can’t sweat. I ran with a nice sauna suit, got in the portable sauna for 15 minutes, noting.

Perry’s predicament, and the fact that four fighters must make championship weight, points to a potentially tumultuous day on the scales.

The official weigh-ins begin at 12:00 PM ET.

You can watch the weigh-ins below, with video courtesy of our friends at MMA Fighting.
