UFC Vegas 14 betting odds: Rafael dos Anjos favored over Paul Felder in short-notice fight

UFC Vegas 14 is upon us and kicks off today (November 14th) from the promotion’s APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. The new main event for the card will see the UFC’s former 155-pound champion, Rafael dos Anjos, take on prolific striker Paul Felder, instead of smothering grappler Islam Makhachev. Bloody Elbow is here with the betting lines for this five-round main event, as well as for the rest of the scheduled lineup.

The oddsmakers like them some RDA here and have the former champ pegged as a -185 betting favorite. A $100 wager on RDA stands to win $54.05 plus the initial $100 back. As for “The Irish Dragon,” he can be found at underdog odds around the +170 mark, with a $100 bet winning $170 plus the $100 back.

The bookies are also projecting this main event to reach the scorecards. Felder has been involved in four-straight decisions, while RDA’s last nine fights consisted of seven decisions and two arm triangles. Typically, these two guys are hard to kill. The prop bet ‘Fight goes to decision’ is currently holding a favored line of -175, with a +145 comeback on the ‘Fight doesn’t go to decision’ option. The over/under for this scheduled 25-minute matchup has been set at 4.5 rounds. The ‘Over’ prop is favored here with a moneyline of -177, and the ‘Under’ wager is being offered up as a +162 dog.

The heaviest betting favorite on the card is Julian Marquez, who clocks in with sizable moneyline of -310 to Saparbek Safarov’s card-high underdog mark of +255. The matchup with the tightest betting line of the entire event belongs to a 195-pound catchweight tilt between the 15-3 Brendan Allen and the 21-3 Sean Strickland. Both men own minus lines around -110, with Strickland still on deck at +100 on a few sites.

Which matchup on the UFC Vegas 14 lineup is listed with the greatest likelihood of ending early? It’s Abdul Razak Alhassan vs. Khaos Williams of course. The prop bet ‘Fight doesn’t go to decision’ can be had for the oh so steep cost of -610. That’s $100 to win $16.39 plus your $100 back. Is that juice really worth the squeeze? Going back the other way, the exotic option ‘Fight goes to decision’ is trending around a sizable underdog value of +425. According to his record, if Alhassan doesn’t nuke you in the first round then you can beat him by decision. Khaos also possesses that same sort of first-round finishing ability and he has also never been finished. It should be noted that surviving Abdul’s opening act has only happened twice out of twelve outings, hence the length of this betting line.
