With Conor McGregor vs. Dustin Poirier II now official (well, not really), Michael Chandler has called out former UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson.

Chandler, the former three-time Bellator lightweight champ, called out ‘El Cucuy’ in response to the McGregor-Poirier news earlier this week.

“Glad We Got Some Answers. Now Where You At @tonyfergusonxt?” Chandler posted on Twitter on Tuesday.

Chandler was on standby for the UFC 254 main event between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje last month but, unfortunately for him, the fight went ahead as planned and ‘The Eagle’ went on to submit ‘The Highlight’ in the second round to retain his lightweight title.

With Nurmagomedov now retired, however, and McGregor vs. Poirier [almost] booked, Chandler believes now would be the perfect time to make his UFC debut, and what better way to make an impression than putting on a show against one of the most respected and battle-hardened fighters in the sport?

Ferguson, for his part, has stated that he will not face Chandler unless he’s compensated fairly.
