The UFC is left without a lightweight champion following Khabib Nurmagomedov retiring from the sport on top at 29-0, so who will fill that void? Well, online gambling site SportsBetting.ag has released betting odds for who will become the UFC’s next lightweight king. The names available to bet on include former champ-champ, Conor McGregor, plus former interim champs Dustin Poirier, Tony Ferguson, and Justin Gaethje. Also on the list is surging contender Charles Oliveira, former Bellator 155-pound title holder Michael Chandler, and then last but not least is the UFC’s former welterweight and middleweight champs, Georges St. Pierre.

Despite not competing in the lightweight division since October of 2018, and not having a 155-pound win since November of 2016, “The Notorious” Conor McGregor is the odds on favorite to become the next belt holder. Selecting Conor to be crowned once again comes at a favored cost of -150. This is the only moneyline in the lot that owns a minus line.

The closest fighter to McGregor is Dustin Poirier, who can be scooped up with an underdog mark of +200. Behind him is Tony Ferguson, who clocks in with a much larger dog tag of +600. Chandler follows him at +700, then Gaethje at +900, and then Oliveira at a much loftier altitude of +1400. The longest line of the group belongs to GSP, who can be had for a whopping underdog tick of +2500.

Okay so here’s the fine print. If there is no lightweight champion by December 31, 2021 then all wagers will be ‘No Action.’ If Khabib holds on to his belt and an interim belt is fought for and won, then all wagers ‘Have Action.’ Got that?
