UFC 254 medical suspensions: 7 days mandatory rest for Khabib and Gaethje

The fight game was changed forever this weekend when UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov declared he was retiring from the sport. ‘The Eagle’ made this proclamation minutes after choking Justin Gaethje unconscious to defend his title and move his record to 29-0.

Numagomedov’s finish wasn’t the only on the card. UFC 254 boasted a number of submissions and brutal TKO/KOs along with some bruising fights that went the distance.
