Bellator is in France today to kick off the legalization of MMA in the country. They are running two events, which have been using various names (much like the UFC does). The first is Bellator 248, with the second (same day) event being called Bellator Europe 9, or simply Bellator Paris.

Bellator 248 is in the books, so let’s a take a look at it.

Michael Page defeated Ross Houston at Bellator 248 via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)

This was not very exciting. Page didn’t do much in the first, and was taken down by the former Cage Warriors champ. The second and third rounds saw Page open up a bit more and stop clowning, and he ended up in top position himself a few times. The fight was certainly nothing to write home about, and don’t go out of your way to watch it. The Paris crowd certainly hated it. But MVP won.

Here’s some video of the fight-ending sequences for the other three fights on the Bellator 248 card.

Oliver Enkamp defeated Emmanuel Dawa via submission (Japanese necktie), 4:10 of round 1

Alan Omer defeated Ryan Scope via TKO (strikes), 1:46 of round 1

Mads Burnell defeated Darko Banovic via TKO (strikes), 3:13 of round 1
