UFC 253 results: Brandon Royval submits Kai Kara-France with a guillotine in crazy fight

The UFC 253 main card is rolling right along the flyweight division just witnessed the #9 ranked, Brandon Royval, submit the #7 ranked, Kai Kara-France, with a guillotine in the second round. This fight had plenty of striking, though, with both fighters scoring knockdowns in the opening act. Royval found a way to get the finish, and has won both of his UFC fights by second-round submission. The top of the flyweight division better keep tabs on this guy.

This one got off to a crazy start! Kara-France rocked Royval with a right hand, and then Royval rocked Kara-France with a spinning elbow. Royval then briefly attacked with an omoplata before taking top control. The fight returned to the feet where a lot of strikes were being launched on both sides. Royval clipped his foe with a knee that hurt Kara-France agains, and then dove on another submission attempt. On the feet, Royval pressed forward behind his volume, and Kara-France tried his best to keep up. The second round saw Kara-France shoot in for a takedown, but Royval answered by jumping a guillotine. The submission hold was tight, and after a couple of adjustments, Royval got himself the tap.
