The final UFC event of August is a Fight Night card in Las Vegas that I think is better than is given credit for. Yes, we lost Yair Rodriguez vs. Zabit Magomedsharipov as the main event, but the three-rounder between light heavyweights Anthony Smith and Aleksandar Rakic should still be good. The co-main is Robbie Lawler, filling in for the recovering Geoff Neal following his health scare, as the former UFC welterweight champion battles veteran Neil Magny.

An under the radar matchup I see on the preliminary card is Alex Caceres vs. Giga Chikadze. We’ll also get the rematch between Magomed Ankalaev and Ion Cutelaba opening up the main card, as the bout was postponed from UFC 252 after Cutelaba tested positive for COVID-19.

Here’s the full lineup for August 29:

Main Card (9 PM ET, ESPN+)

Anthony Smith vs. Aleksandar Rakic

Robbie Lawler vs. Neil Magny

Ji Yeon Kim vs. Alexa Grasso

Ricardo Lamas vs. Bill Algeo

Magomed Ankalaev vs. Ion Cutelaba

Preliminary Card (6 PM ET, ESPN/ESPN+)

Maki Pitolo vs. Impa Kasanganay

Mallory Martin vs. Hannah Cifers

Alessio Di Chirico vs. Zak Cummings

Alex Caceres vs. Austin Springer

Polyana Viana vs. Emily Whitmire

Sean Brady vs. Christian Aguilera
