In late November, Floyd Mayweather Jr. announced a possible collaboration with Dana White. And for the UFC president, working with “The Money Team” adds value to each of their prizefighting endeavors.

White and Mayweather were planning a “spectacular event,” but the world’s current state of affairs likely won’t allow them to go all out. Nonetheless, White says conversations with Mayweather is ongoing.

“Floyd and I still have dialogue and go back-and-forth. We’re still interested on both sides,” White told TMZ.

When a conversation about the UFC and Mayweather Promotions is brought up, you can’t help but ask if Conor McGregor is somehow involved. But after “The Notorious” declared “retirement” in June, White has wanted nothing to do with him.

“I know (Mayweather) would rematch Conor McGregor, but I don’t know if you’ve heard about this but Conor McGregor’s retired,” White siad. “When I’m doing things right now, running the business, I don’t even think about Conor. Conor is retired.

“Per my contract with fighters, I owe them three fights a year. If I do not deliver three fights a year, I have to pay them their money. Conor McGregor is retired.”

The last collaboration between the UFC and Mayweather Promotions resulted in more than $600 million in total revenue and 4.3 million domestic pay-per-view buys.
