Alexander Volkanovski kept his belt at UFC 251, winning a close and somewhat contested split decision with Max Holloway. Many didn’t seem to agree with the scores, and this includes UFC President Dana White.

“You can’t leave it to these guys. We’ve got some bad judging,” White said on the post-fight press conference. “I’m sure (Holloway) is devastated. Did anybody here score it for Volkanovski? Anybody? Nobody in the media? I don’t know. We’ll have to figure it out.”

“Looks like we’ve got to tighten up our refs and judges here on Fight Island,” White said, who was also upset at late stoppage on Jose Aldo vs Petr Yan.

The official scorecards can be seen below, courtesy of MMA Fighting.

Judge David Lethaby was the only one to score it for Holloway, giving the former long-time champion rounds one, two and five. The two other judges in Mark Collett and Clemens Werner scored it for Volkanovski, both giving him the last three rounds.

For what it’s worth, among the compiled scores from the MMA media, 18 scored it for Holloway, while 9 gave it to Volkanovski.
