For the past week, reigning UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has tested the waters for a potential move to heavyweight, teasing of a ‘big money fight’ against Cameroonian knockout artist Francis Ngannou.

UFC president Dana White isn’t sure whether to take Jon Jones seriously but the pound-for-pound No. 1 is adamant about fighting Ngannou in his next bout.

Jon Jones hasn’t fought since UFC 247, where he beat Dominick Reyes via controversial unanimous decision to retain his light heavyweight title. Ngannou, 33, has won his last four bouts via first-round KO and is ranked #2 in the UFC heavyweight division.
