Legendary UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva wants people to obey instructions in order to control the current coronavirus pandemic.

On his official Instagram page, the ‘Spider’ wrote a lengthy message to his fans, asking them to follow the instructions given by experts on the subject and to stay home in order to diminish contamination until, as Silva puts it, the whole pandemic becomes only a bad memory.

“When we get over this bad time, don’t hold on to the bad memory of the hard times, but in the joy that we were able to face this, united. Let’s listen to the experts and respect the security policy to avoid contamination. I’m sure we’ll beat this invivisible enemy. I wish God bless the world and each one of you! May this problem get solved quickly.”

Most recently, Anderson Silva (34-10-1 NC) lost to Jared Cannonier via TKO back in May 2019. The loss put the Spider on a two-fight losing skid, with a unanimous decision defeat to Israel Adesanya in February of the same year. The 44-year-old’s last victory came in February 2017, when he bested Derek Brunson via unanimous decision, making that his sole win in his last eight bouts.
