Number 13-ranked lightweight Charles Oliveira entered his UFC Brasilia headliner against Kevin Lee on a six-fight win streak. He did leave the empty building adding another victory and by far the biggest of his career.

“Do Bronx” finished the fight in the third round via his signature guillotine choke against the number eight-ranked Lee, which likely catapults him to the top of the rankings. But with this huge win in the books, the 30-year-old Sao Paulo native is already looking at a monumental opportunity for himself, as he calls out the winner of the scheduled title fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson at UFC 249.

“Tony Ferguson and Khabib, I’ll be sitting there first row,” Oliveira said through a translator during the Octagon interview with Michael Bisping. “There’s no way to deny it. I’m one of the best in the world, I’m ready. The belt’s gonna be mine.”

UFC 249 was supposedly slated for April 18th in Brooklyn, New York, a state that already imposed a ban on large public gatherings due to the Coronavirus pandemic. UFC president Dana White said they’re still figuring out a new location, but vows that the fights will go on.
